Job Summary

The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. Develop persuasive approaches that will convince potential clients to procure the company’s 3D scanning services.  Build rapport with new and existing clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. Continuously develop a pipeline of new business opportunities for the company and maintain an ongoing monthly minimum sales closure ratio of 30%.  Develop a thorough knowledge of the market, the services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors. The main duties of the Business Development Manager are summarized as follows:

New Business Development

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area (Midwest states) to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client.

Client Retention

  • Enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Business Development Planning

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends to President.
  • Present to and consult with company president on business trends with a view to developing and maintaining market share and potential growth areas.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

Management and Research

  • Submit weekly sales progress reports to President and ensure data is accurate.
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM system.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
  • Represent the company in the best light.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and ethics to maintain the company’s high reputation in the 3D reality capture industry.
  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s capabilities.
  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company’s performance.

 


Job Summary:

The Reality Capture BIM Specialist is a key member of an integral team where your duties will include processing point clouds collected by 3D laser scanning or similar systems and convert into 3D CAD/BIM models using Revit, ReCap, Navisworks and AutoCAD.  Projects will consist of building interiors & exteriors, factories, mechanical rooms, and similar infrastructure to develop existing conditions 3D deliverables. Work collaboratively with Project Management to ensure client deliverables meet specifications and are completed to the highest level of detail and accuracy according to company defined quality standards. This position is based in Carmel, Indiana.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Candidates with experience using FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone, EdgeWise, Kubit or similar point cloud processing & modeling software’s are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience operating 3D laser scanners is a plus and those candidates will be given priority consideration.
  • Proficiency in creating Revit content from point clouds, setting up models for production and optimizing Revit modeling workflows.
  • Identify, comprehend, and follow project BIM standards when developing model content.
  • Be proficient reviewing project modeling work to ensure accuracy and correct technique.
  • Monitoring model adherence to project standards and established modeling protocols.
  • Work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical and supervisory decisions for projects assigned within specified limits of authority.
  • Communicate with management about all aspects of the project.
  • Prepare daily time sheets, data logs, expense reports and change orders.
  • Maintain efficient and well-organized BIM/CAD project folders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have 1+ years’ experience in Revit, ReCap, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Revit experience and knowledge must be at a mid to high level.
  • BIM Modeling skills will require knowledge in all AEC disciplines; architectural, structural & MEP.
  • Experience and desire to develop/control/maintain office Revit/CAD standards.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings & weekend work and available to travel to client sites when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree and/or Associate Degree in Construction Graphics, Design/Drafting and/or Architecture + relevant experience is required.

This position will require completing all aspects of 3D laser scanning and surveying from field data collection to developing point cloud deliverables.  Duties will include processing point clouds collected by 3D laser scanning or similar systems and convert into 3D point cloud models using FARO Scene, Autodesk ReCap and AutoCAD, or similar 3D design software programs.  Projects will consist of building interiors & exteriors, factories, mechanical rooms, and similar infrastructure to develop existing conditions 3D deliverables. Work collaboratively with Project Management to ensure client deliverables meet specifications and are completed to the highest level of detail and accuracy according to company defined quality standards. This position is based in Carmel, Indiana.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Working independently or as part of a team visiting client locations capturing existing project/building conditions using terrestrial 3D laser scanners.
  • Post process field collected scan data and register with FARO Scene, Cyclone, Autodesk ReCap or similar point cloud processing software tools.
  • Verify point cloud alignment using survey dimensional control techniques.
  • Work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical and supervisory decisions for projects assigned within specified limits of authority.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Survey Technician or 3D Scan Technician having both field and office experience.
  • Experience with operation of FARO, Leica, or similar 3D scanners is a plus and will be given priority consideration.
  • Experienced converting point clouds into CAD & BIM model deliverables will be given the highest consideration.
  • Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors and/or Total Station.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of land surveying.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings & weekend work and available to travel to client sites when needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Education:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related field + relevant experience is required.
