Will Hirschfeld is PrecisionPoint’s new UAS Pilot/3D Solutions Specialist. He comes to us from Beck’s Hybrid, a specialty seed company, where he became an expert on all things UAS and received his FAA Part 107 Certification. That means Will has been cleared to operate small UAVs up to 55 pounds, including our new DJI Inspire 2.

“The Inspire 2 is a great platform that stays stable even in the wind to capture really crisp imagery,” Hirschfeld said. “The combination of stationary laser scanning and UAS photogrammetry will allow PrecisionPoint to create unique deliverables for 3D reality capture and BIM customers.”

Will is a native of nearby Noblesville, Indiana, and earned his degree in Agriculture from Purdue University. He is married with two young children, and when he’s not chasing them around the house, Will spends his free time hiking, mountain biking, running and fly fishing.
